By Lucky Chaudhary, Kathmandu, Aug. 2: The meeting between Chairmen of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held to resolve the intra-party feud has concluded on a positive note.

The meeting, which kicked off at 10:00 in the morning, lasted until three hours, informed Bishnu Sapkota, press advisor of Chairman Prachanda.

Former PM Jhalanath Khanal and deputy leader of the parliamentary party of the NCP, Subash Chandra Nembang, were also present in the meeting.

“The meeting has ended on a positive note. We have heard that the Chairmen sorted out all of the differences in the meeting. Both the Chairmen have become ready to end the intra-party feud in the upcoming meeting,” said Sapkota.

NCP has already decided to host the Unity General Convention in April, 2021.

PM Oli had proposed to conduct an ‘early Convention’ in his meeting with Prachanda but Prachanda rejected the proposal.

Discussions regarding the General Convention were held between the Chairmen-duo in today’s meeting as well where both the Chairmen decided to conduct the General Convention based on agreement.

Meanwhile, the NCP leaders Khanal and Nembang who were present in the meeting as witnesses, said that no concrete agreement was made in the meeting today.
