Pokhara, Nov 25: Nepali Congress (NC) spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma has demanded with the incumbent government to unveil Nepal's political map incorporating Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura within three days.
At a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union, Kaski in Pokhara today, Sharma said that if the government could not publish the map and publicize it, NC was ready to step in for the same.
According to him, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, in the all-parties meeting called by Prime Minister in his official residence at Baluwatar, had urged the incumbent government to take the immediate action to correct the disputed political map unveiled by India.
Sharma expressed his dismay that the government had not moved ahead in a substantive way on the same.
He viewed, "The Prime Minister should take the lead and resort to political and diplomatic measures to address the Nepal-India border issues at the earliest."
Claiming that the by-election environment was in favor of NC all over the places where the by-election was taking place on November 30, he expressed his confidence that NC, which has fielded Khemraj Poudel to contest from Kaski constituency 3, would win the by-election by a wide margin.
