Surkhet, Dec 19 : Chief Minister of Karnali State, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has directed government employees to effectively implement the budget by setting the deadline.    
Only enforcement of the budget effectively would help achieve economic prosperity and uplift living standard of the people, he said, during a meeting with chiefs of government offices in Kalikot district and chief administrative officers at local levels. "Bureaucracy also known as permanent government is a strong part of the implementation of development plans, programmes and budget. So implement the government's policies and programmes and budget according to the deadline," he instructed the government employees.    
On the occasion, he also inspected 'daughters, life-long security programme' and various development plans.    
State government was at work to deal with challenges facing Karnali – challenges like geographical remoteness, lack of human resources and budget implementation.    
Pointing out that development activities are not taking place in line with the constitution, federalism and expectation of the people, he also urged governments at all levels to deliver effectively.    
On the occasion, CM Shahi accompanied by Minister for Social Development, Dal Rawal and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Bimala KC also inspected the health service office in Kalikot.    
On the occasion, CM Shahi also pledged to resolve problems facing the 30-bed health institution of lack of workforce, medical equipments and physical infrastructures in coordination with the governments at all the three levels.
