By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 18: The hearing on a dispute regarding the authenticity of Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N) has kicked off in the bench formed by the Election Commission.
Raj Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson at the EC, informed The Rising Nepal that the hearing had begun from 11:00 am today.
According to Shrestha, pleading from the petitioner is currently going on. "The procedure of the EC-formed bench is the same as the court proceedings," he said.
"The Commission will announce its verdict after the pleadings from both sides are completed," Shrestha added.
The EC had formed a five-member bench on the leadership of Chief Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya to settle the JSP-N authenticity dispute.
