CPN-Unified Socialist allocates responsibilities to party leaders

By Asha Shah, Kathmandu, Sept. 5: The CPN-Unified Socialist Party has allocated the responsibilities to the party leaders. CPN-Unified Socialist MP Birodh Khatiwada informed The TRN Online that the responsibilities have been divided into the standing committee, secretariat members and province in-charges.

Chief Personal Secretary of the Chairman of the CPN-Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal, Mohan Gautam said that the responsibilities of the leaders have been divided as per the intra-party directive of the CPN-US. According to him, party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal who were previously included in the CPN-UML standing committee, have been included in the standing committee of the CPN-US.

He said that, along with Nepal and Khanal Mukunda Neupane, Dr Beduram Bhusal and Pramesh Hamal are also included in the standing committee. Similarly, a secretariat has been formed to maintain the daily work of the party in the coordination of Dr Beduram Bhusal comprising Pramesh Hamal, Rajendra Pandey, Gangalal Tuladhar, Dr Bijay Poudel, Jayanti Rai and Jivan Ram Shrestha.

Gautam also said that the in charges of six provinces have also been appointed. Ghanendra Basnet in Province 1, Dharmanath Sah in Province 2, Kedar Neupane in Bagmati Province, Keshav Lal Shrestha in Gandaki Province, Bhagwat Bishwasi in Lumbini Province and Prakash Jwala in Karnali Province have been selected for the province in-charges. Chief Personal Secretary of the Chairman Nepal, Gautam added that no in-charge has been appointed for the far-western province.

Similarly, Vishwanath Pyakurel has been appointed as the special in-charge of the Kathmandu valley, Vijay Gurung appointed as the special communication in charge and Dr Bijay Paudel has been appointed as Morcha in-charge.

Similarly, CPN-Unified Socialist MPs Rajendra Pandey, Vijay Poudel and Ram Kumari Jhankri have been given the responsibility of court and election-related work while Birodh Khatiwada, Kalyani Khadka, Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Thagendra Puri have been given the responsibility of parliamentary work.
