By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 7: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 464 new cases of COVID-19 today.
In 7,926 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests carried out in the last 24 hours, as many as 464 persons were found with the virus infection, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam in the daily press briefing today.
The new cases were detected in districts such as Jhapa, Sunsari, Morang, Saptari, Dhanusa, Sarlahi, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sindhupalchowk, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Bhaktapur, Kailali, Tanahun, Kaski, Banke, Bardiya, Syangja, Nawalparasi (East), Gulmi, Kalikot, Achcham, Kanchanpur.
Meanwhile, 425 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation were discharged in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus infection.
Currently, there are 6,330 active cases of COVID-19 and 10,207 persons, mostly the returnees from abroad, have been placed in quarantine.
With this, the national tally has reached 22,214 including 15,814 cases of recovery and 70 death cases.
