COVID-19 update: 1,790 new cases, 2,791 recoveries, 24 deaths in 24 hours

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 24: With 1,790 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Tuesday, Nepal's COVID-19 tally has surged to 224,078.

"As many as 1,790 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours," revealed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily update.

Currently, there are 17,859 active cases of COVID-19 and 627 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.

Meanwhile, some 2,791 patients who were either receiving treatment in various institutional isolations or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has recorded 204,858 COVID-19 recoveries until now.

Moreover, 24 patients succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 1,361.
