COVID-19 tally hits 13,564 with 316 new cases, 53,070 still in quarantine

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 316 new cases of COVID-19 today.

As many as 316 people, 245 males and 71 females were identified with COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

The new COVID-19 cases were detected in Saptari, Siraha, Udayapur, Jhapa, Sunsari, Sankhuwasabha, Saptari, Dhanusa, Rautahat, Mahottari, Achham, Bajura, Kathmandu, Rautahat, Syangja, Gulmi, Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha, Sarlahi, Bhaktapur, Baglung, Dadeldhura, Lalitpur, Baitadi, Doti, Myagdi, Kaski, Lamjung, Tanahun, Rupandehi, Palpa, Argakhanchi, Salyan, Rukum (West), Banke, Dailekh, Bajura and Kailali.

The RT-PCR test were conducted in the last 24 hours and 53,070 people are placed in quarantines set up nationwide while 10,341 COVID-19 patients and suspected patients are receiving treatment in isolation.

Meanwhile, 60 COVID-19 patients, 51 males and nine females receiving treatment at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Jumla, Isolation centers of Kohalpur, Banki, Sai Krishna Isolation, Saptari, Mahottari Hospital, Koshi Hospital and  BPKIHS, Dharan have recovered from the virus infection in the last 24 hours.

With this, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 13,564, including 3,194 cases of recovery and 29 death cases.
