Chitwan, Dec 7 (RSS):
Five persons were killed and another one sustained injury when an auto rickshaw skidded off the road and overturned near Dumrekhadi bridge at Rapti municipality-5 on Saturday evening.
Ek Narayan Koirala, Spokesperson of the Chitwan district police office, confirmed the death of the persons. One of the dead has been identified as Shyam Prasad Tiwari of Kushma municipality, Parbat, and identify of others is yet to be established.
Critically injured passenger, aged around 26-year-old, is receiving treatment at Old Medical College, said the police, adding that three passengers died at Old Medical College, and two others breathed their last at Bharatpur Hospital. The ill-fated auto rickshaw (Na 1 Ha 6409) was heading to Bhandara from Chepangmarga of Rapti municipality when the accident took place.
