Kavre, Sept. 13: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota said on Friday that cooperation from all sectors was essential in the development campaign launched by the government.
Speaking at a foundation stone laying ceremony of the Lakuri Bhanjyang-Panauti-Namo Buddha road in Kushadevi, Minister Baskota said that there would be no ethnicity, religion, class, community and party in development activities. He urged all to cooperate with the government in its campaign for development.
“After overcoming political struggle of 70 years, we are now engaged in development. Cooperate with us from the respective sectors,” he said, “Only then the goal of Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal’ could be achieved.”
He also urged the contractors to complete their work in time. Likewise, he instructed the civil servants to perform their duty promptly.
Stating that the government would carry out development projects on a priority basis, Minister Baskota said, “We will build roads where there are none, and will upgrade them where they are, we will construct bridges and develop projects in the sectors of drinking water, communication, education, health, sports and tourism.”
He reiterated that the government was working with a firm conviction to upgrade Nepal from the status of the least developed country to a developing country by 2022.
He also highlighted the projects being developed in the district.
