Kathmandu,Dec 1 :  The fatalities due to COVID-19 in Nepal have crossed 1500 mark with 29 more deaths reported on Monday.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 29 more COVID-19-related fatalities were recorded on Monday, pushing the death toll to 1,508.
The country also recorded 1,474 new cases and the official national COVID-19 tally has reached 233,452.
Now the active cases stand at 17,423 as of today.
As per the data of the MoHP, 1,931 infected people have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 809 new infections in the past 24 hours.
Of them, 615 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 125 in Lalitpur and 69 in Bhaktapur.
As of Monday, the number of confirmed cases in the valley has reached 109,126. While Kathmandu has reported 375 COVID-19 -related fatalities so far, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have recorded 112 and 91 deaths respectively.
According to the MoHP, 756 individuals from Bagmati State, 201 from Lumbini State, 196 from State 2; 191 from State 1; 103 from Gandaki State, 38 from Sudurpaschim State and 23 from Karnali State have died of COVID-19 so far.
Likewise, six districts, including Jhapa, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kaski and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases and Manang and Dolpa districts do not have any active case as of today.
As per the latest update, 375 individuals infected with the virus are being treated in ICU facilities across the country, 58 others including 35 in Bagmati Province, 11 in Gandaki, six in Province 1, three in Lumbini, two in Sudurpaschim Province and one in Province 2 are receiving treatment with ventilator support.
