By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 5: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday confirmed 120 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation's novel coronavirus tally to 274,608.

"In 6,143 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 120 persons, 51 females and 69 males, were found infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed the Ministry of Health and Population in the regular press briefing.

Currently, there are 832 active cases of COVID-19. Similarly, 58 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.

Meanwhile, 83 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 270,766 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.6 per cent.

Moreover, no fatalities were recorded across the nation on Friday. Currently, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll is at 3,010.
