By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, June 21: Yoga is an ancient practice with innumerable benefits, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Raghubir Mahaseth while speaking at the virtual programme organised by the Art of Living to celebrate the seventh international day of yoga on Monday.

Minister Mahaseth also revealed that he has been practising yoga for the past 26 years.

The theme for the yoga day this year is ‘Yoga for well-being.’ “This theme is particularly relevant this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mahaseth said. “People need physical and mental well-being, which yoga helps achieve.”

Senior Operations Officer at World Bank Nepal Country Office Bigyan Pradhan, Former South Asian Regional Director United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) Chandni Joshi, Senior Vice President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Vishnu Agarwal and President of YPO Nepal Shahil Agarwal also participated in the webinar.
