By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 21: Haritalika Teej, the biggest fasting festival of women in Hindu tradition, was observed accross the country on Friday.

Unlike in the past when women would get together and dance in a group, especially after visiting and worshipping at Lord Shiva temples, this time such activities were limited to home due to COVID-19 pandemic and prohibitory order against crowds in public places at many local levels in the country.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by the prohibitory order imposed in the Kathmandu Valley, the Pashupatinath Temple, which used to be crowded by the Hindu women, wore a deserted look on Friday.
