By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May. 13: Additional day has been added for administering the second dose of the “Vero Cell” vaccine against the COVID-19 infection in Kathmandu.
According to the Badri Bahadur Khadka, Health Chief at the Health Office, Kathmandu, the duration of the ‘Vero cell’, a vaccination campaign has been extended to May 25 from May 16.
“One additional day has been added to avoid the congestion which might risk the spread of the SARS-COV-2,” said Khadka.
Dr. Jhalak Sharma Gautam, chief of the national immunisation programme, said, “The concerned health office makes the schedule for vaccination as per their target. Some will complete the vaccination campaign earlier than others. Nevertheless, the vaccination day will start from May 16.”
A total of 249, 000 people are getting their second dose of ‘Vero Cell,’ jabs.
