PM Deuba elected as General Convention delegate with highest number of vote

Nov. 23: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has won the 14th General Convention with the highest number of vote.

According to Lokendra Bam, Election Officer of Dadeldhura, the home district of Prime Minister Deuba, out of 846 votes, 791 votes were cast in favour of Deuba. Similarly, Bhim Bahadur Saud also won the Dadeldhura district chairmanship with 734 votes, according to Bam.

Meanwhile, Arzu Rana Deuba has been unanimously elected as the general convention representative from the Dadeldhura district. Four women, including Rana, have also been unanimously elected from the open women quota. They are Saraswati Khadka, Kaushila Bhatt and Kalawati Devi Bohara.
