People above age of 18 can take COVID-19 vaccine by filling online form

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May. 14: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said that the general people above the age of 18 can apply for their first vaccine against COVID-19 infection by filling the online form by visiting the official link https://vaccine.mohp.gov.np/.

Now onwards people across the country can apply online form for the COVID-19 vaccine and no application deadline has been marked.

According to Dr. Jhalak Sharma Gautam, Chief of the National Immunisation Programme, all interested citizens can apply for vaccination against COVID-19 infection.

“We will closely be monitoring all the applied forms and will be sending it the respective ward offices for further management of vaccination against the COVID-19 infection." said Chief Gautam, "There is no closing date to fill-up the form, however, all the applied forms will be kept in queue”.

It has been said that the vaccination campaign will be commenced only after finishing the second dose of the vaccination campaign. Gautam said that only half a million people have got both their first and second jabs.

“We are working to make the second dose available to all 77 districts through prioritisation." Chief Gautam.

Similarly, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), said, “We will vaccinate all those who have registered for vaccination via filing online form once the vaccine will be available in the country.”

Assuring the civilians, Dr. Gautam said that the government is striving to procure the vaccine at the earliest.

Ministry said that the talks are being held with India, China, Russia, UK, and USA for providing vaccine and consultations with vaccine manufacturer companies are being held.
