Kathmandu, Aug. 27: More than 90 per cent of the applicants have received their COVID-19 vaccination certificates with QR codes so far.

According to Deepak Jha, Senior Public Health Officer at the Child Health and Immunisation Section, of the total 55,125 applications, 50,000 people have received the electronic vaccination certificates with QR codes within the month of service delivery.

“Initially, the capacity of the department was just 3,000, and more than 8,000 applicants were filling for the QR codes. This hindered the smooth delivery of the service and took four-five days to deliver the QR codes, but now, with increased capacity, we are delivering the service in consecutive days,” He said

The service which was started on August 5, has given its service to more than 50,000 people so far. 3,000 to 4,000 people have been receiving electronic vaccination certificates with QR codes on an average day.

"With the increased capacity of the server to commensurate more than five thousand applications a day, and decreased assemblage of service receivers to 4000 a day, the problem has now subsided," he added.

On the question, if all people can fill the online form and what is the department doing about it, he, said, “We, Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), coordinated with Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, to notify all the respective companies especially manpower companies to fill up the form on behalf of those who are unable to and send it to the department after addressing that many people were unable to fill the form correctly, leading to return of faulty forms."
