Kathmandu, Aug. 30: The lowest of the Coronavirus infection has been recorded on August 29 since the second wave of COVID-19. 

A total of 1,388 people have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest recorded infection since the second wave, stated the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). 

Of the total 7,259 PCR tests and 3,038 antigen tests, 1,388 have been tested positive for the virus on Sunday. 

According to Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), even though it is the lowest recorded infection rate following the second wave, it cannot be said that the COVID-19 infection in the country has shrunk down. 

Although the government has said that the third wave has not started in Nepal, experts have said that the third wave has already started. Since it is not easy to predict how frightening the third wave could be, Dr Poudel suggested that management must be well prepared.

The highest COVID-19 recorded COVID-19 cases, which was 9,317 was on May 11.

On August 29, the COVID-19 infection was 1,857, the infection was 2,065, on August 28, on August 27, it was 2,433, on August 26, 2,482, August 25, it was 2,527, on August 24, it was 1,801, August 23, and it was 1,920.
