By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May. 7: Kathmandu Valley on Friday reported 4,106 new cases of COVID-19.
Of the 9,023 infections confirmed across the nation, 4,106 were detected within the three districts of the valley, informed the Ministry of Health and Population's daily COVID-19 update.
Of the new infections, 3,089 were detected in Kathmandu, 374 were confirmed in Bhaktapur and 643 cases were reported in Lalitpur. Currently, there are 32,452 active cases of COVID-19 in the Valley.
Of the active cases, 25,940 are in Kathmandu. The district has recorded 139,556 cases until now of which, 112,802 patients have already recovered while 814 succumbed to the infection.
Similarly, Bhaktapur's COVID-19 tally is currently at 13,245 including 168 fatalities and 9,825 recoveries. There are 3,252 active virus-infected patients in the district.
Lalitpur's virus caseload is 23,296 including 232 deaths and 17,635 recoveries. A total of 5,429 patients are currently infected with the virus in Lalitpur at present.
