With 44 new cases on Monday, Kathmandu Valley's COVID-19 tally continues to rise

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 10: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 44 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley today.

In 8,432 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test done in the last 24 hours, as many as 44 persons were found with the virus infection in the Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 44 new cases of virus infection, 36 were detected in Kathmandu and four each were detected in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

Moreover, the 338 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation on Monday, taking the caseload to 23,310 including 16,493 cases of recovery and 79 death cases.
