By Tara Chapagain, Kaski, Apr. 28: Three lawmakers of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly has tested positive for COVID-19.
Dr. Binod Binshu Sharma, health director of Gandaki province health directorate, informed that three lawmakers of the assembly were found infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the PCR tests of the swabs of the lawmakers which was collected on Tuesday.
The special session of the assembly was put off following the demand of the ruling UML lawmakers for carrying out PCR tests of all the lawmakers as the infection was rising and there was a great risk. The lawmakers had protested in the session, which had resulted in the obstruction of the House.
The assembly session has been called for today after the result of the PCR tests.
