Kathmandu Valley records 51 new cases of COVID-19

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 3: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 51 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley today.

In 7,637 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests carried out in the last 24 hours, as many as 51 persons were identified with the virus infection in the Kathmandu Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 51 new cases, 43 cases were detected in Kathmandu, five were detected in Bhaktapur and three in Lalitpur.

On Sunday, 31 cases of virus infection were recorded in the Kathmandu Valley.

Moreover, 418 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Monday, taking the tally to 20,750 including 14,961 cases of recovery and 57 death cases.
