By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 13: The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed four COVID-19 related deaths on Thursday.
Four persons from Mahottari, Dhanusa, Achcham and Morang succumbed to the virus infection, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
A 45-year-old male of Matiyani Municipality-6, Mahottari, who had tested positive for the virus died on August 9 while receiving treatment in Ram Janaki Hospital. He was suppering from Tuberculosis and Diabetes.
An 85-year-old female COVID-19 patient of Mithila Municipality-7, Dhanusha also succumbed to the virus on August 12. She was receiving treatment in isolation at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
Likewise, an 18-year-old male of Ramsoshna Municipality-5, Achcham, who had contracted the virus died at Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Lalitpur on August 12. He was suffering from chronic heart disease.
A 57-year-old male of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3, Morang also succumbed to the virus infection on August 12. He was admitted to Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar after testing positive for the virus. He was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepal has reached 95.
