By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 26: Chairman of CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged the government and the private sector to arrange for assistance of food and other necessities for the working class people as they are the worst hit class due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, especially at this time when the second wave of the infections has hit the country.
Issuing a press statement today, the former Prime Minister asked the government for focusing on controlling the spread of the virus and treatment of the infected by properly providing medical materials and equipment to the local levels as well.
"The way the government has been continuing with inauguration and foundation stone laying activities at this time when health crisis is at the doorstep, people are apprehensive whether they have to face more critical days ahead," said Chairman Prachanda, urging the government to not be careless with regard to people's health.
The Maoist Chairman also exhorted his party leaders and cadres to join hands in the battle against the pandemic.
