24 persons including three of Pokhara test COVID-19 positive in Gandaki State

By Tara Chapagain Dube, Pokhara, Aug. 8: As many as 24 persons of Gandaki State including three of Pokhara were found with COVID-19 on Saturday.

Of the 782 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests conducted on Tuberculosis Treatment Center, Pokhara, three persons of Kaski, seven of Syangja, one of Myagdi and 13 of Baglung tested positive for COVID-19, informed Gandaki State Health Directorate.

With this, the virus caseload in Gandaki State has reached 611.


The virus infection was detected in persons who had returned from India and other districts within the nation and via contact tracing.

Meanwhile, Gandaki State has recorded 1,443 cases of recovery. In the last 24 hours, a total of 60 COVID-19 patients, 30 of Syangja, six of Myagdi, 20 of Nawalparasi, four of Lamjung were discharged after recovering from the virus infection.

The State has recorded four COVID-19 deaths.
