By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed 11 COVID-19 related deaths.

Two females and nine males succumbed to the virus infection across the nation in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Two females aged 46 and 53 from Morang and Bhaktapur respectively, two males aged 45 and 50 of Kailali, three males aged 60, 72 and 75 of Mahottari, two males aged 41 and 46, and two males aged 37 and 51 from Banke and Kathmandu, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.

With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 175 and the death rate stands at 0.5 per cent.
