Kathmandu, Jan.7: “Yeuta Yesto Prem Kahani”
of actor Shiva Shrestha is becoming the first new Nepali movie to be released in cinema theatres post-COVID-19.
Produced by veteran actor Shiva Shrestha, the film will be released on January 14 as the first new film to be released in the reopened movie halls, which had remained shut for more than nine months due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Shakti Shrestha, son of actor Shiva Shrestha, Kabita Manandhar, daughter of actress Karishma Manandhar and producer Dinesh Darshandhari’s son Samyak Darshandhari have made their debut from this movie.
The poster and title song of this movie made by actor Shiva Shrestha were made public at Chhaya Centre, Thamel, on Tuesday.
The poster was jointly unveiled by the film’s producers, actors, directors, lyricists, musicians, cinematographers, film critics, journalists and distributors.
The top song of the film “Ma Timro Aakhabata Sansar Dekna Chahanchhu, Ma Yeuta Yesto Prem Kahani Lekna Chahanchhu” was shown at the event.
The song is sung by Bishwa Nepali and Asmita Pariyar and the music is composed by Basant Sapkota.
Addressing the programme, senior actor Shrestha said that the filmmakers had to make a big effort to open the shooting and screening of the films in view of the problems faced by Nepal’s film industry due to the global pandemic.
He said that he was satisfied to be vaccinated by showing Nepali films to the Nepali people by taking precautions against the infection of coronavirus.
Stating that he has been working in the film industry for the last 40 years seeing a bright future of Nepali film, he said that ‘Yeuta Yesto Prem Kahani’ has become a good film.
Addressing the programme, producer Yashoda Rai said that actor Shrestha took a year to prepare the story.
The film is done by Shiva Shrestha, Priyanka Karki, Ayushman Deshraj Joshi, Barsha Raut, Sanjog Koirala, Basundhara Bhusal, Mithila Sharma and others.
The film is produced by Shiva Shrestha, Yashoda Rai Tumbahamphe and Dinesh Darshandhari and co-produced by Khum Tamang, Sunil Katuwal, Ram Narayan Shah, Dinesh Thapa Magar and Tara Tuladhar.
Deepesh Sapkota has directed the movie.
