When most of the countries are in lockdown, it has become a good time for the movie lovers to enjoy films sitting in front of their television set.
Due to the pandemic, people are finding ways to kill the time, and for many people movies have been best sources of entertainment.

Neupane also watched a few Nepali movies just to respect the people and nation. He said that the first generation movies, which were loaded with strong content and stories are far better than contemporary Nepali movies. The Nepali movies like Lahure, Chino, Basudev, Balidan, Jatra, Dewata, Talka Jung Versus Tulkey are his best movies so far from the domestic industry.
Likewise, Saraswati Adhikary, Theatre Artist and Actress, has been watching Nepali films like Chhakka Panja, Pashupati Parsad, Jatrai Jatra. She also watched Bollywood movies like Majhi, the Mountain, My Name is Khan and Mardani. Except for some good Nepali movies, many youth favour the Hollywood, Korean, South Indian, Iranian and even Bollywood movies.
Sudip Gautam, a college lecturer, said that he was the biggest fan of Hollywood movies and he seldom watched Nepali movies.
“The last Nepali movies I watched were Chakka Panja series and Pashupati Parsad with families. Since then I have not watched any Nepali films,” he said. During this lockdown, I watched A Beautiful Mind, Joker, The Shawshank Redemption, Limitless, Lucy and more.”
He loves Hollywood movies as they present a simple story with so many details in a short time.
Similarly Aashish Mishra, a journalist, also likes to watch Hollywood Superhero movies. During this nationwide lockdown, he watched superhero movies like Iron Man Avengers series, Deadpool series, The Dark Knight Trilogy and many others. He said that his friends were also the great fans of Hollywood movies.
However, Suzzan Nepali, currently living in Australia, and Prabin Dhungel, a Master Degree student from Ratna Rajaya Laxmi Campus, have been watching some South Indian movies.
Suzzan loves South Indian films because the stores and the acting of those films are heart touching and interesting to watch. Dhungel loves to watch South Indian films because of magnificent action drama.
Likewise, Shardha Dhakal, an employee of a non-profit organisation, likes to watch suspense movies which involve solving cases, portray women issues and give emotional meaning of the story. She watched both Bollywood and Hollywood movies equally during this pandemic. She highly recommended a Turkish movie Miracle in Cell No 7 and Hollywood Money Heist series.
Many people have different tastes of interests regarding movies. However, many young generation people have been watching foreign films more than the local films as they harbor prejudice against local films.
