Kathmandu, Aug. 18: Singer Sugam Pokharel has dedicated his newly released song “Buwa Hajurko Yaad Aauchha” to his father.
Singer Pokharel had recently lost his father, and has expressed grief over not being able to sing his new song to his father.
His father Yeknath Pokharel breathed his last at his own residence in Biratnagar on July 25. He was 81. A former employee at the Department of Land Reform Management, late Pokharel was also known as ‘asan’ advocate in his locality.
Singer Pokharel has made this song public dedicating to his own father and all the fathers on the occasion of Father’s Day.
Pokharel wanted to give surprise to his father through this song on the occasion of ‘Kuse Aausi’ (father’s day) but due to the sudden demise of his father, he couldn’t give surprise to him and was not able to feel and see the reactions of his father.
In memory of his late father, he wrote on social media, “I had been thinking of making a song about “Buwa” for a long time and that effort was completed some time ago. It was planned to make a music video and make it public around ‘Father’s Day’, to dedicate to all the fathers. All the preparations were made. But an unexpected news came that my father had passed away. I tried to give a surprise to my father, but I myself was shocked,”
Pokharel wrote.
The song was composed and music done by Pokharel himself. The video of the song has been made by Bikesh Magar.
He wrote on social media, “Even though my father is not among us physically now, I will always try my best to become a good person by following his lessons, thinking, dreams and blessings.”
