Mumbai, Mar. 9: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been making news for all things new. The actress who recently launched her haircare brand Anomaly a few weeks back has stepped into the hospitality business and launched her new restaurant in the bustling city of New York.
She took to the social media handle to make the announcement and also shared pictures of the same. Named ‘Sona’ which means gold in Hindi will see its inauguration later this month.
In her social media post, the Quantico actress wrote, “I’m thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into. SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavours I grew up with.”
While the restaurant will cater to Indian cuisines, the new restaurant has a Dubai connect to it. Priyanka has teamed up with Chef Hari Nayak, the culinary talent behind Dubai’s ‘Masti’ restaurant. He is quite popular in Dubai and will now serve the NYC food lovers with his cooking skills.
Talking about the chef, Priyanka wrote, “The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef @harinayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and
innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country. SONA is opening later this month, and I can’t wait to see
you there!
