Kathmandu, Oct. 9: Pradeep Khadka, who is also known as a chocolaty hero, is a popular youth actor in the Nepali film fraternity. After the movie Prem Geet, actor Khadka emerged as a star overnight, because of which, he is able to attract a huge fan following.
However, despite his latest films failing to do well at box office, his demand in the film industry is soaring.
Producer and directors alike who are keen to work with Khadka have been paying handsomely to him.
After sensing his growing demand in the industry, Khadka now is learning acting from veteran artiste Anup Baral in Pokhara. He has taken no formal class of acting before.
Sharing photos with artist Anup Baral in social networking sites as well as is learning session, he penned, “It’s never too late to learn anything new”.
Actor Khadka, who is sometimes censured as a hero who is not suited for tough roles, is expected to make a turnaround on the completion of the classes, for which we’ll have to wait for some time.
He was expecting release of the movie Prem Geet 3 before the lockdown. However, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the screening of the film has been postponed for indefinite period. Once things returns to normal, he is poised to work in the films by Dinesh Raut, Hemraj BC and Santosh Sen.
Khadka is associated with Santosh Sen’s new project Hututu, in which he will share the screen with veteran comedian Hari Bansha Acharya, alongside his contemporaries Paul Shah and Najir Husen.
During the lean times, his decision to take acting classes to improve his acting skill has sent a positive message to the film industry.
His decision to learn acting notwithstanding his huge popularity and demand simply indicates that he is moving towards maturity and is seriousness about quality. Not just that, his realization of the importance of education in acting has help spread positive vibes across his fan base.
Although his recent films like Prem Geet 2, Lillibili, Rose and Love Station has helped him introduce himself to a larger group of young people, only time will tell whether he will be able to retain his popularity.
