Kathmandu, Mar. 23: Hidden Treasure Nepal, an official organisation to host Miss Nepal, has decided to postpone the 2020 Miss Nepal audition.
In a statement, the Hidden Treasure said it suspended all its pre-planned activities of Miss Nepal 2020 until the removal of the restriction imposed on mass gatherings.
The first phase of the audition had already been held in Pokhara, Dharan, Chitwan, Birgunj, Birtamod, Butwal, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi. However, the audition in Kathmandu has been halted due to COVID-19 fear, said the Hidden Treasure Nepal. Women aged between 18 to 26 years, whose height is at least 5 feet 4 inch, are eligible to contest for the crown of Miss Nepal.
After the government imposed a restriction on the gathering of more than 25 people at a place, many programmes have been deferred, including the beauty pageant.
