Mero Dance Cup, Mero Voice Cup to be held in USA

Kathmandu, Nov 17 : Two new singing and dancing television reality shows have been announced amid a press conference at the capital Tuesday evening.

Targeting the Nepali speakers living in the United States and Canada, ‘Mero Dance Cup USA- 4’ and ‘Mero Voice Cup USA- 2’ will be organised, it was informed.
Both the reality shows are being hosted by the Intra National Welfare and Support Foundation of America.

Chairman of the foundation Dilli Adhikari informed that the shows will begin in January.

Singer Pramod Kharel is the proposed judge for ‘Mero Voice Cup USA-2’ while Actor Dilip Rayamajhi, choreographer Shankar BC, actress Keki Adhikari and Narman Rai are the judges for ‘Mero Dance Cup USA- 4’.


“The purpose of organising the reality shows targeting Nepali speakers living in the United States and Canada is to preserve and promote Nepali language and culture and to create awareness about Nepali language and culture among Nepali speakers in the United States and Canada through the reality show,” said Adhikari.

He said that the inauguration of ‘Mero Voice Cup 2’ will be held on November 27 in Beldangi, Jhapa. The foundation has also been providing monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 to senior Bhutanese refugees in Nepal.

Despite living a very busy life in the United States, they have not forgotten Nepali traditions, language and customs and to preserve the Nepali culture, tradition the two reality shows are planned, Adhikari added.

Speaking at the programme, actress Keki Adhikari said that she was happy that such a big reality shows are being organised in the United States targeting Nepali speakers there.
