Malla said, “Even though the film is horror, it tells the story of Nepali soil.”

Malla said that the film was made with the aim of giving novelty to the audience. “This is my first experience in feature film writing. Since this is our first attempt, there may be many errors. We will try to move forward by correcting the errors.”
Producer Rana said that the film was prepared spending Rs. 23 million.

“I have been working in the film industry for about two decades and I never give high value to money. I am like a ‘madman’ who is passionate to filmmaking,” he said when asked whether he was confident about collecting the investment amid the pandemic.
Mithila Sharma, who has played the lead role in the movie, said that the story of the movie was organic. She expressed her belief that the audience would like the film.

“I have acted in many films but while doing every new film I feel I am doing the first film,” said Sharma.
Actress Usha Rajak said that she gained a different experience while working in a horror film for the first time.

Actress Shilpa Maskey said that Kathputali would be a completely new film for the Nepali film industry and she is confident that the film will open the door for the production of horror-thriller genre films in the country. It was her first horror film as an actress.

Veemsen Lama, who directed the feature film for the first time, said that he was excited and nervous as the release date of the film was approaching.
He, who has been living in London for a long time, said that he directed the film with the aim of introducing Nepal’s organic story to the world. He said that he wants to promote Nepali language, art and culture around the world through films.
