By A Staff Reporter , Kathmandu, Apr. 5 : Actor Karma Shakya and Laxmi Bardewa have shared screen together for the first time.
Coming from a theatrical background, the two have started working together from a film “Ananta”.
The shooting of the film began in Bhaktapur on Saturday.
Both Shakya and Bardewa, who appreciated each other’s work, said that they accepted the offer of doing a film together because of the story.
"I have been a fan of Laxmi’s theater since the time of her theatrical career, she has also been doing equally well in music videos and films, and I'm really excited to work together on this film,” said Shakya.
Bardewa on the other hand, said that working with Shakya was a bonus for her.
“I read at least 10 scripts during the lockdown last year. I rejected some due to money and others due to the prescribed roles but I decided to do this film because of the story and team.
And, I feel like I got a bonus working with Karma in this film because I had a great desire to work with him,” said Bardewa.
The film based on time travel is going to be directed by Jason Lopchan.
Lopchan is a graduate of Oscar Film College. He has directed some short films. He said that the film would tell the story of a character who goes to extreme in love.
"To what extent we can go to protect the person we love, that's the story of the film, but we've given it a sci-fi flavour,” said Lopchan.
Saying that he is a fan of Christopher Nolan- a British- American film director, Lopchan said that he wrote the film inspired by his style of films like 'Inception' and 'Tenet'.
Lopchan himself wrote the script of the film which went on the floor with the aim of shooting it in 20 days.
Babin Dulal will direct its cinematography. The film is being produced by Naba Bijaya Shrestha.
