Kathmandu, Aug. 24: Director and actress Deepa Shree Niraula has again apologised to the audience on the occasion of her birthday.
After the ‘Mahanayak Controversy’, she had made an apology to actor Rajesh Hamal and his fans for her statement on a television interview and even though actor Hamal forgave her, she kept silent for a long time.
Yesterday, on the occasion of her birthday, she again made a video and said, “My expression has hurt the hearts of all of you; please, forgive me thinking your own sister.”
Niraula said that it is more important to solve the problem rather than to run away from it.
Stating that she did not have to look back in her career after the comedy serial ‘Tito Satya’ made in 2003, Deepa also expressed her gratitude for the love given by the audience in movies and serials.
She has admitted that even though she got success in her acting career she has a lot of weaknesses in her personality.
“My weakness is how to speak in the media, how to be polite, how to be simple, how to respond cleverly and diplomatically,” she added.
She took her mistake of Mahanayak controversy as a lesson and compared her weakness as a rotten fruit which falls from the tree after a big storm.
Actress Niraula said that she made three mistakes. The first mistake was going to the interview without any preparation; second, she was asked targeted questions again and again by the interviewer and that she couldn’t stop her impulse. And the third mistake, being an artiste, she commented on another senior artiste, said Niraula.
Niraula has also mentioned that along with success, abuse has been connected with her destiny.
She said, “Even before the Mahanayak controversy, there was abuse when the trailer and song of our films were released. We had moved forward enduring all the things.”
“In this incident, my friend Deepak Raj Giri was also made a troll as a Mahanayak. However, he told me that I gave a wrong statement about Rajesh Hamal. Not only Deepak but also our team was insulted. The team experienced a crisis. I feel extremely sorry,” said Niraula.
Deepa also said that she was able to get up because of everyone’s love and promised she would not make such mistakes again.
She vowed on her birthday that she would spend time in personality development and make good movies for the audience.
