Kathmandu, Dec. 4: At a time when the filmmakers are continuously appealing to the government to allow operating the film industry, the government, however, has requested not to open the hall for at least another 15 days considering the COVID-19 situation.
Speaking at a regular press conference of the Ministry of Health, Ministry spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam directed to strictly enforce the rules for another 15 days on Wednesday.
At the press conference, Gautam urged the people not to open crowded organisations, movie halls, night businesses and not to do anything that violate public health standards.
The government has said that the businesses will be brought into operation in the next 15 days as per the need - depending on the status of the COVID-19 infection.
Cinema theatres that have been closed for over eight months have not been reopened yet.
There is positive news, if the COVID- 19 situation declines in the next 15 days, there is a possibility of opening the film industry.
