Kathmandu, Dec. 2: Director Samrat Basnet, who has made Password, is planning to make a new film titled ‘Lakhey’ with multi-star casting.
Actors like Saugat Malla, Anup Vikram Shahi, Aryan Adhikari, Arpan Thapa, Sushil Sitaula, Vijay Baral and Sunil Thapa have been selected for the film while the team is searching for some more artistes.

“We still need some more characters for the film. We are searching for around a dozen individuals through audition,” said Basnet.
According to Basnet, the audition opportunity is for the ones who have talent and want to make a career in the field of films.
Basnet is confident that his team will find new and talented people from the audition.

A lead actress aged 18-24 year old, a child actor aged 8-10 year old, a female actor aged 17-24 years and 10 male supporting actors aged between 26-50 years will be selected through the auditions, informed Basnet.
Hari Malla Thakuri, executive producer for Lakhey, said that the audition will be held on Saturday at 11:30 am in Kantipur Film Academy.
Sijan Aryal is the producer of the film; it will be produced under the banner of Global Media and Research Centre and Orion Production.

“Although the name of the film, which is said to be made on a big budget, is Lakhey, it has not completely covered the tradition of Lakhey in Nepali culture,” said Basnet.
“However, the film has been named Lakhey with the intention to promote the tradition,” Basnet added.
The shooting of the film will start from mid– December and continue until mid-January.
