Kathmandu, Sept. 7: Suresh Singh Pujari, actor of the Nepali film industry, passed away on Saturday.
Pujari, who has worked for over three decades in Nepali movies, mostly in the negative role, died at the Blue Cross Hospital, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu on Saturday evening, said Pushkar Lama, president of the Film Technical Association.
His family members rushed him to the Norvic Hospital after he had a cardiac arrest at home, said Lama.
After receiving treatment, he felt good and returned home, but on his way home, he suddenly felt discomfort and he was taken to Blue Cross Hospital in Tripureshowor.
While talking to hospital staff, he fell and died immediately, said Lama.
He was 54.
He was cremated at a Guthi in Teku on Sunday.
Technicians, producers and directors along with people from various film related organisations paid their tribute to Pujari.
Stating that he has made an invaluable contribution to the film sector, various filmmakers paid tribute to him through social media.
In most of the films starring Rajendra Khadgi, Suresh had appeared.
Action director Khadgi also paid tribute to him on social network Facebook and mentioned that he was saddened by the demise of his favourite artiste.
Lama said that he was deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a simple, courageous and friendly actor of the Nepali film industry.
