Kathmandu, Aug. 31: Remuneration of Nepali actors may be an issue of interest for many viewers.
It may be frowned upon to ask someone about their salary, but as humans, we have natural curiosity to know the earnings of others.
When it comes to the celebrities, fans always want to know the remuneration of the debut film of an actor, because they notice a significant change in the living style of the actor just after doing a single film.
A popular and a successful actress Swastima Khadka debuted from Hostel Returns five years back. She played a supportive role in the film and her role and performance were appreciated by both the audience and critics.
She recently revealed the remuneration her first film in the first show on her official Youtube channel.
How much had Swastima received from the movie? Answering a question to an audience, Swastima said, "I had agreed to do the film at Rs. 15,000. But, I have not yet received half the amount.”
However, Swastima said that it was the film that brought her to the present position. She also clarified that she had no complaints with the producer and director of the film. When asked whether she could produce a movie on her own now, Swastima said, “I can produce a low budget film and for the high budget movie I can invest a part of share.”
Answering a question of her fans, she also shared that she wanted to buy a house with her own earnings.
Swastima’s first film, Hostel Returns, was released in 2015. It was directed by Suraj Bhusal and Produced by Sunil Rawal.
