Kathmandu, Dec. 4: Actress, social activist, entrepreneur and producer Shweta Khadka is all set to tie the nuptial knot with Bijayendra Singh Rawat of Dhangadhi on December 7.
According to a source, the wedding invitation has been published and distributed to family and friends with the wedding ceremony to be held at Gokarna Forest Resort, Kathmandu.
The social media have been abuzz with the news of Shweta’s marriage with Rawat, with whom she has reportedly been in a relationship for some time.
In her debut film Kaha Bhetiyala, actress Shweta starred alongside late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha. She was married to the late actor Shree on July 7, 2014. But Shree died on August 10, same year while undergoing treatment in India.
Their last film together Kohinoor directed by Akash Adhikari was a huge success. Unfortunately, Shree wasn’t around to revel in the success of his last film. Actor Shree died at the age of 47 in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India after being diagnosed with pneumonia and bone cancer
Shweta has gone on to star in a number of other films including Kanchhi opposite actor Dayahang Rai. Lately, she was confirmed to work in a new film directed by Yama Thapa in the role of mother.
Along with films, Shweta is also the founder of Shweta-Shree Foundation (SSF), a charity organisation named after her and her late husband, which works towards social service in marginalised communities.
