Kathmandu, Aug. 17: Nepali film actresses are trying their hands at singing.
Nita Dhungana has become the latest actress to enter the singing club, joining the likes of Anu Shah and Paramita RL Rana. Actresses Rekha Thapa, Niruta Singh, Priyanka Karki, Pooja Sharma, Chhulthim Gurung and others have also introduced their singing side to their fans.
However, their attempts at singing have not found the same praise that their movies have. The female artistes’ songs have neither been much liked by the audience nor have they been able to continue singing.
Now, Nita Dhungana, who has been acting in films since her childhood, recorded Ganesh Bhajan 'Bakratunda Mahakaya' in her voice a few days ago.
Nita has also produced a video of the hymn from her production house ‘Nita Films’. She also featured in its video.
Nita, who has created a clean image in the Nepali film industry, is considered excellent in acting by her supporters. However, most of the films starring her have not been able to be commercially successful.
Yet, the failures of the films have not had much impact on her career. She has been working in films continuously and now there is a rumour that astrologer and actor Harihar Adhikari and she are in a love affair with each other. But both of them have been denying their relationship.
