Kathmandu, Nov.25: The play Boksi Ko Ghar (Witch’s House), which was staged at the Mandala Theater in 2073 BS, is soon coming to the audience as a film. The play was a solo performance of actress Sarita Giri. The play written and directed by Sulakshan Bharati was staged for about a month four years ago.
The film also written by Bharati herself will be co-directed by Subrat Raj Acharya and Bharati.
Actor Gaurav Pahari and actress Keki Adhikari will play the lead roles in the film to be produced under the banner of Keki Adhikari Films.
According to the production unit, auditions will be called next week to select other artistes for the movie.
The film unit, which has been in the workshop and preproduction phase for the past one and a half months, will go into floor after a four-month workshop.
According to the director, most of the incidents and scenes included in the film Boksi Ko Ghar will be based on the incidents that have been entrenched in the society since long.
The film is being produced by popular lyricist and director Badri Adhikari and the executive producer of the film is Bishal Bhandari.
After the movie Kohalpur Express and the television comedy reality show Comedy Champion, the team is going to make the movie Boksi Ko Ghar as its third project.
Producer Badri is actress Keki’s father.
