By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 2: One of the nine high altitude wetland areas of the world, Panch Pokhari, located at an altitude of about 4,100 meter in Sindhupalchowk district, has in recent days become a choice for tourists.

This area has captured attraction for it offers natural as well as ecological trekking route where one gets to walk by traditional Tamang, an indigenous peoples in Nepal, settlements.

Both the Hindu and the Buddhist flock to this place for a fair during Janaipurnima, full moon day in August when the Hindu, especially Tagadhari, change their Holy Thread.

One can reach this place of majestic natural beauty from Chautara, district headquarters of Sindhupalchowk, through Sano Orkhin, Melamchi and Botang village.
