By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 3: The Number of foreigners entering in Nepal has been reduced due to the Prohibitory Order that imposed to break the chain of Covid-19 second wave.
According to the immigration department only 143 foreigners were entered in Nepal in the month of June. At the same month 1,468 foreigners were entered in Nepal last year.
Before the Prohibitory Order in March, the number of foreigners entered in Nepal was about 15,000. The data provided by the immigration department had comprised the foreigners entered through Tribhuvan International Airport.
With the second wave of COVID-19 the entrance of foreigners have been restricted trough land boarders.
The highest number entering Nepal were Indian in the months of June. According to the Department 359 Indians were entered in Nepal in June.
The second highest number of tourist entering Nepal in June was from United States with 266. Similarly, 57, 38 and 32 foreigners were entered from Britain, China and South Korea.
