Sarlahi, Feb. 28: A dairy industry built with an investment of Rs. 100 million in Hariwan Municipality-9, New Road, Sarlahi, has come into operation.
Operator of the industry Raghav Singh has claimed that the milk dairy named Mangalam Dairy and Foods Industries is the largest in Madhes.
According to Singh, Rs. 100 million has been invested in the industry.

He said that the industry will produce quality milk products using the latest technology.
According to the industry administration, the industry has a capacity to produce dairy products from more than 16,000 litres of milk daily.

The industry plans to produce Chhurpi, packet milk, curd, ghee, cheese, butter, ice-cream, sweets, chocolate and other varieties of dairy products.
Sawal Singh, managing director of the industry, said that the products will be delivered to markets, including Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Mahottari and Dhanusha.
The industry has said that various products will be produced by collecting locally produced milk.

The milk producing farmers are happy citing that such a big industry has come into operation at the local level.
It is said that more than 150 people in the region will get employment directly or indirectly in the industry.
MD Singh, the founder of the industry, informed that the Swisscontact Project has also provided technical assistance for the establishment of the industry.
