Sunsari, Sept. 18: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and spokesperson of the government Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) was a document leading to the development and prosperity of the nation, and it must be ratified.
Inaugurating the office of the National Trust for Nature Conservation-Koshi Conservation Centre on the premises of the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve on Friday, Minister Karki said that the nation would benefit a lot if the MCC were passed.

Stating that the country's positive development project was extremely politicised, Minister Karki said, "As this is the largest foreign aid provided to Nepal till now, I request all the political parties and citizens to help the government in ratifying the MCC compact."
Similarly, commenting on the House obstruction by the main opposition in recent times, Minister Karki said that political stability was the need of the hour. "Rather than obstructing the House, it is important to hold discussions on issues over which the opposition is dissenting," he said.

He also said that signs of ending the House obstruction were seen.
As the current government is a coalition government, it is committed to working for the development of the nation by respecting everyone's thoughts and feelings, said Minister Karki.
Moreover, he also expressed his belief that the establishment of the conservation centre would help in mitigating human-wildlife conflict.
He also requested the locals to help in ensuring the smooth functioning of the conservation centre.
