Nepal Chamber distributes health items to six hospitals

Kathmandu, May 17: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has distributed essential health items to various hospitals in Kathmandu.
NCC officials, including Rajendra Malla, president of the NCC, have distributed the essential items, including PPE sets, surgical masks, surgical gloves, vitamin C tablets and cetamol tablets to government hospitals in Kathmandu.
The team of the NCC distributed materials to the Nepal Police Hospital, Kanti Children's Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital Thapathali, Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and Chhatrapati Free Clinic on Sunday.
NCC president Malla informed that cylinders and oxygen concentrators would be imported and distributed to the hospitals within a week as soon as possible.
The NCC has been conducting various campaigns to resolve the current health crisis invited by the second wave of COVID-19 by forming 'Nepal Chamber COVID-19 Central Management Committee' under the coordination of Disaster Management Committee chairman and NCC vice-president Deepak Kumar Malhotra.
Under the campaign, essential health items have been distributed to the government hospitals having high flow of patients, the NCC said.
On behalf of Bir Hospital, Dr. Ramila Shrestha received the health materials while Prof Dr. Pawan Raj Chalise of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital received the health materials.
Similarly, Dr. Manoj Shrestha of Chhatrapati Free Clinic received the health items provided by the NCC.
Similarly, the team of the NCC has handed over medical supplies to the Medical Director of Nepal Police Hospital and Additional Inspector General of Police Asha Singh.
Acting director of Kanti Children's Hospital Dr. Ram Hari Chapagain and Dr. Ashalaxmi Prajapati of Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital Thapathali received the health materials.

Senior vice president Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal, vice presidents Deepak Kumar Malhotra and Surendra Kumar Shrestha and executive committee members Nawaraj Dhakal and Santosh Pandey were present on the occasion.
