Kathmandu, Aug 29: The attention of the government has been drawn towards dillydallying in the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project.

In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, also the former Finance Minister, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki of the Nepali Congress, complained over the dillydallying in the project, saying although the 456-MW project has made 98 physical progress, some significant tasks are still remaining.

Also the former Finance Minister, he said, "I want to draw government's attention not to make any delay in construction of the project in any pretext."

Similarly, Basanta Nembang of the Nepal Communist Party, stressed the need of smooth implementation of the project brought by the government with an objective of making 40 districts of the country fully illuminated areas within current fiscal year.

Expressing gratitude to the government for forwarding a programme along with long-term goal of building bright Nepal, Nembang demanded effective implementation of the programme.

He also urged all sectors for their support to the ongoing initiatives made to fulfill government's dream of illuminating house of every Nepali citizen.

Similarly, Binda Pandey of NCP drew government's attention to pass the bill related to citizenship from this session.

She demanded the government to make alternative arrangement to make education, health and profession of the citizens easy to be affected from this if the bill is not passed in this session.

Likewise, Hridayesh Tripathi of the NCP, complained that problems have surfaced after the discussion on the bill related citizenship could not reach to its conclusion even after holding discussion at the State Affairs Committee since long.

Similarly, Birodh Khatiwada drew attention of the House and government, saying many pedestrians have lost their lives in lack of zebra crossing while crossing road along Ring Road. He complained that the government and the bodies concerned have not been paying their attention on such issue.
